Arming the Aftermath
lies, treason, and more lies
Readers,
I have more to say about the aftermath of the Bondi shooting, and the grotesque movements of the mass media and politicians to utilise it to further anti-Palestinian sentiment and facilitate the continuation of the genocide. Before I do, I want to say explicitly that our mainstream media is undeniably compromised, and that it’s clear this isn’t going to change anytime soon. Things are getting worse: it’s vital that people start backing independent media like Deepcut News and Michael West, as well as independent creators like myself. We need more than likes and more than shares.
Mossad Minns and the “Community Security Group”
I’m going to start with the most alarming issue. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, NSW Premier Minns said that he wanted to look at arming CSG, the “Community Security Group”, a private Jewish security firm run under the auspices of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies. CSG infamously runs paramilitary training camps with ex-IDF soldiers in Israel that have also been linked to Mossad. A former CSG member interviewed by Deepcut News said the organisation had long functioned as an informal recruitment channel for Israeli intelligence agencies, describing an “open two-way line of communication”. To be clear, CSG is already allowed to have armed guards outside Jewish schools, synagogues, and institutions – what is being proposed is that their already exceptional permission be extended to having armed guards anywhere that Jewish people decide to have events in Sydney.
In February last year, a significant case came to light of a long-serving Jewish Australian soldier in the Australian Defence Force being stripped of his Top Secret security clearance after admitting that a) he felt greater loyalty to Israel than to Australia, b) he attended the CSG-run paramilitary training camps in Israel without informing his superiors as he was obligated to do, and c) if he was asked by the IDF to provide any intel, he would do so. If you think that in 19 years of service in the Australian army that the IDF did not ask him for intel, I have a bridge to sell you. This story is a historic scandal, and it’s been quickly swept under the rug.
In the court filing for the case, he admits as well that the head of CSG directed him to lie to ASIO about his participation in their training camps so as to avoid bringing further scrutiny to the organisation’s operations. When this news broke, I publicly queried how such a government-funded organisation could still be operating. Silly me! Not only are they still operating, they clearly enjoy a staggering degree of impunity, much like the apartheid state they serve above and beyond our own.
This armed Zionist militia in Sydney directed a Jewish Australian soldier to effectively commit treason, and despite this being known to authorities, Chris Minns still feels comfortable asserting that he is seriously looking into giving this group—which the government previously awarded $1.6m, to operate “command and control nerve centres” of all things, in Australia—the ability to operate as an armed force anywhere in NSW as effectively its own police force. This is not just unprecedented, it is an extreme and disturbing abrogation of duty on the part of the Premier that effectively okays the establishment of a militarised ethnic enclave.
Despite the serious alarm this frankly insane notion raised, Minns doubled down as the CSG publicly claimed to have warned NSW Police in advance of the likelihood that the Bondi event would be attacked, requesting more security, which they say they were denied.
A couple of points about this claim, which quickly went viral. Far from reassuring anyone that this Mossad-linked group knew what they were doing, it raised further questions—for example, if there was credible evidence of an attack and there was insufficient security as claimed, why did the event proceed? Who made that decision? I can tell you as someone who has organised and produced community programs and community events, risk management is a prerequisite each and every time. It is an act of brazen irresponsibility to carry on proceedings despite awareness of a serious violent outcome for a public-facing event. Despite all of this, Minns said arming CSG guards in public was “a small price to pay” for Jewish community safety and was “the safest way of being an extreme deterrent to someone committing this offence again”.
At this point I need to make clear that there’s no proof that CSG’s claim is true, and the Premier’s comment is even more dubious than theirs. A spokesperson for the Police Minister said on the record that she was unaware of the CSG document or any warning supposedly given prior to the event. What’s more, at least three police officers were at the park at the time of the shooting. For those who don’t know, Australian police officers are armed with guns. It neither deterred the attackers from going through with it, nor stopped them when in motion - not quickly enough, anyway. Why is that? Because these assholes trained and planned for it over a considerable period, and more guns in the hands of IDF-trained goons wouldn’t have helped anyone and is far more likely to have led to more deaths, not less. It bears mentioning that two cops are in critical condition, having been shot in the line of duty.
The fact that the Premier is asserting that the safest way forward for the Jewish community is to mark them out as exceptional in qualifying for their own private militia is absolutely insane, and it would be insane even if the militia in question wasn’t linked to the Israeli surveillance and assassination department. The fact that Minns is not reassuring the public that our police and intelligence services can protect all of us - that extreme violence like this is the obvious exception, not the norm - and is instead talking about armed private groups is a profound failure of leadership that indicates complete contempt for NSW Police. It’s fine for the average punter to feel that way: it absolutely is not for the premier of the state to implicitly say that they cannot service this community appropriately. Obviously, not every community is policed the same way—I have been writing about and against racialised police brutality most of my life because I experienced it most of my life, as did my family and community in southwestern Sydney—and disproportionate violence at the hands of the cops is the norm. What I am pointing to here is the extreme level of influence wielded by Zionists, such that they can get the Premier to openly declare that the arm of the State is not enough protection - this is a central myth of modern society, and he is shredding it garbed in the authority of the state, in order to arm a Zionist militia.
On average, one Australian woman is murdered every week—clearly, NSW Police are failing to protect women as they should. Can women get their own armed militia? What about Aboriginal people who continue to be murdered in custody? It’s called “deaths in custody”, but deliberaye institutional neglect that disproportionately leads to fatalities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is simply murder by another name. What about Muslims? A white Australian man murdered 51 Muslims in Christchurch, and according to Josh Frydenberg, who was in government at the time, the sitting cabinet of the day is directly responsible for massacres. Where was the royal commission investigating white supremacist terrorism and the rise in anti-Muslim violence? Hell, let’s all get guns. I’m sure that’s the right answer. What a stupid fucking farce this is.
If IDF-trained Zionists are given permission to bear arms throughout NSW wherever a Jewish event might be held, I assure you this will not lead to greater safety for anyone—if anything, going by the IDF’s record, we are more likely to see an extreme rise in violence. Far from stopping any terrorist, it’s children who will need to fear for their lives and their limbs.
Albanese, Antisemitism, and the Holocaust
In my original piece, Globalise the Intifada, I wrote a little about Albanese’s response to the terrorist shooting, and the media’s unprecedented move - in concert with the Liberal Party - to pin him with the blame for it, echoing Netanyahu quite literally. The unanimous and unfounded claim was that he had not done enough to stop the manifestation of antisemitism anywhere. This is an absurd position, but conservatives absolutely love to create a war on sentiment, on feeling itself - from the war on terror, to now the war on antisemitism, and coincidentally, I’m sure, both require the mass murder and ethnic cleansing of millions of brown and black Muslims, both require the theft of land and territory on a massive scale, both require the rapacious extraction of resources, both require an ever-tightening set of controls and surveillance of domestic and non-domestic populations, both require the mass media to resolutely pump out an astonishing amount of hysterical propaganda, both are wars on concepts and feelings therefore they have no definitive end, though while abstract, they are tied negatively and concretely to the figure of the Arab and the figure of the Muslim. In short, the message to Albanese is: you are not showing us a sufficient level of obedience, or control of the unruly masses. Remember, the focus in the aftermath of the attack was not terrorism or the prevention thereof so much as it was the totally unrelated yet historically popular protests which Zionists insist must be forcefully ended.
I want to dig a little bit deeper into his response, now, which has been a strange capitulation to this narrative. As I wrote before, Albanese - while now suffering from a concerted effort to make of him another Corbyn - has in both rhetoric and deed absolutely committed to the Zionist cause. He is an absolute disgrace:
This is the same Anthony Albanese - a man I utterly and publicly despise - who has given over $100 million to Jewish and Zionist organisations in the past 18 months, including $57 million to the Executive Council of Australian Jewry specifically to boost security for Jewish events; who has given over $930 million to Israeli arms manufacturer, Elbit; who created the office of “Special Envoy to Combat Anti-Semitism” at the expense over $1m a year to the Australian public and filled it with multimillionaire Zionist lobbyist Jillian Segal, despite her clear conflicts of interest and despite being a major funder of far-right racist group Advance; who created a national police taskforce to track and combat antisemitism; and who continues to arm Israel in defiance of the law. This is the man who has not done enough? The very same Albanese who is the only Western leader so far to have been referred to the International Criminal Court on charges of complicity with the Israeli genocide?
Given that, I’m more than a little suspicious of his act, lately, which has been to explicitly accept that yes, he has not done enough. He took responsibility. He apologised. On the one hand, there is a certain measure of maturity and grace in that. On the other, given he has demonstrated precisely none of those qualities previously, the cynical view is that taking this position enables him to give yet more control and power to Zionists while appearing to have his hands tied, so to speak. He has accepted Jillian Segal’s proposals, thus giving her, an unelected Zionist lobbyist for Israel, an extraordinary amount of power across a vast range of the public sphere. I was looking through the government’s official response to her proposal/report on antisemitism, which indicate both what they’ve done so far and what they aim to do yet. You can read the government’s response in full here. You can read a much better response here. I just wanted to highlight one part:
I realised, on reading this, that I forgot to list among his many accomplishments for Zionists, Albanese criminalised “doxxing” - in response to the leaked transcripts of a WhatsApp group chat of 600 Australian Zionists in the arts who routinely organised targeted campaigns to cancel any of their peers who advocated for Palestine, to get them fired, or to have their grants rescinded. The response to this malicious clusterfuck of pettiness becoming public was to protect the Zionists, not their targets. But I digress. The main thing I wanted to highlight here is the inclusion of the Australian government’s world-first legislation to ban teenagers from accessing popular social media platforms, listed here as a measure responding to antisemitism.
It’s been widely reported that TikTok’s forced sale to Zionist billionaires is due to the popularity of “pro-Palestinian” videos. I put that in speech marks simply because what white supremacists and their Zionist friends found intolerable was any accurate footage of the atrocities being disseminated to the public, or indeed any accurate coverage of the average Israeli’s profoundly vile racism, both of which were being uploaded regularly and routinely by Israelis themselves. There’s an entire genre of perverse photos from Israeli soldiers parading themselves in the stolen lingerie of Palestinian women they have either murdered or displaced, for example, which never makes it onto TV or mainstream Western media coverage; likewise, there’s numerous viral TikTok trends of Israelis doing prank calls pretending to raise money for Palestinian children, or dressing up in “Arab face” and examples of hit songs charting no.1 in Israel with genocidal and racist lyrics referring to Palestinians as “rats” and “sons of Amalek”.
The examples of the average Israeli’s intensely violent and vile racism are too many and too overwhelming to document in their entirety, and virtually every week, for a short period, they were regularly going viral. Yet somehow, this never got covered by mainstream Western newspapers or news TV channels. This is not by accident, it is by design. So well known did this phenomena become, when white supremacist influencer Destiny was paid to visit Israel to boost its PR, he was filmed urging them to leave their phones at home. Not to stop committing war crimes, atrocities, or performing their homicidal and necrophilic drag, but simply to stop recording and sharing it because it made them look bad. And do you want to know the most extraordinary part of all this? They did not stop. Not only did they not stop, the prevailing narrative in Western media is and remains one of “rising antisemitism” on social media.
Zionist billionaire Larry Ellison whose company Oracle has purchased TikTok is a prominent philanthropic funder of the IDF and close confidant of war criminal Netanyahu. Nothing I’m telling you now is speculation, none of it is assumed, it is all very much on the record. There’s no need for pretence or for conspiracy when you are allowed to operate in total impunity. Despite the stranglehold that conservatives have over mainstream media, including major social media platforms—TikTok was an outlier, before President Biden forced its sale using farcical claims of Chinese surveillance to do so—surveys consistently showed a major change in unfavourable opinion worldwide, but particularly in the West, toward apartheid Israel and this was particularly pronounced in young people of every political persuasion.
Most mainstream U.S. media coverage of the TikTok deal has completely ignored the explicitly anti-Palestinian agenda of its biggest Western investors. TikTok has played a critical role in helping hundreds of millions of users see the ugly reality of Israel’s genocidal war in Gaza...
Netanyahu has made it clear that he understands the consequences of access to unfiltered social media. He recently described the sale of TikTok as “the most important purchase happening. … I hope it goes through because it can be consequential.” Netanyahu, who faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity in Gaza, sees control of TikTok as a part of Israel’s military strategy. “You have to fight with the weapons that apply to the battlefield, and one of the most important ones is social media,” he continued.
To date, this blatant co-option of social media to suppress coverage of the atrocities and gross racism that Israelis love to openly boast about, to suppress advocacy for Palestinian human rights, has largely been understood to be spearheaded in the increasingly fascistic US. We all know about the prominent accounts being suspended, the terms that are shadow-banned or otherwise suppressed by the algorithm. Also to date, no one has connected Australia’s social media ban for young people to the social media takeover of racist billionaires, and yet the Albanese government, by placing this measure in their report ostensibly responding to Jillian Segal’s antisemitism plan, seems to be firmly saying that these things are or should be considered connected. Numerous experts have criticised the social media ban on numerous fronts, including the platforms that have been exempted, which includes Roblox, a gaming platform that is rife with both sexual predators and Nazis.
In his nine years on Roblox, Melbourne teen Ollie has been exposed to a steady stream of disturbing content he wishes he could unsee, ranging from pro-Nazi demonstrations to child abuse material.
Clearly, the safety of children is not the key driver of this ban, nor is white supremacist Nazi content—and now we know what it’s actually aimed at. There are endless examples of Zionists supporting or aligning with Nazis and white supremacists, from deals with Hitler’s Nazi regime through to the present day, where prominent Zionists routinely ignore entirely Nazi demonstrations or even defend them outright, as ECAJ’s Alex Ryvchin did:
The reason for this is because the two share a foundational premise and racial supremacist worldview. Nazis pose a threat to Jews, but not to Israel, conversely, they aid Israel’s central message that their brutal apartheid state is necessary no matter what. Palestinians on the other hand, and notions of justice, of equity, of equality—these pose no threat to Jews, but absolutely threaten Jewish supremacy in occupied Palestine. Understanding what motivates the political cult of Zionism is absolutely essential to understanding the scale of the danger we’re all in handing over the reigns not just to social media, or our public education system, but all public expression.
Consider the fact that after Bondi, Albanese announced that Zionist Envoy Jillian Segal will take “the fight” against antisemitism into “kindergartens, child care centres, schools and universities” as part of a new antisemitism education taskforce alongside her friend and fellow Zionist David Gonski. This move was explicitly labelled as a measure to prevent something like Bondi from happening again with no explanation whatsoever as to how it will do so. The fantasy presented to us is not just that hatred of Jews is what drove this violence alone, but that a national curriculum that centralises the Holocaust at every level will eradicate antisemitism. This formed a key part of Josh Frydenberg’s seven key demands in his much-publicised speech at the Bondi memorial:
Four: Stop the protests. For two and a half years, we have put up with daily protests which have become incubators of hate.
Five: Across Australia, there is some Holocaust education, but it’s piecemeal, it’s uncoordinated, and it’s different according to different states… You are the Prime Minister of Australia, and the history of the Holocaust is that bad things happen when good people stay silent. So it’s up to you. Not to sprinkle a bit of money around Holocaust education after a horrific terrorist attack, but to take the initiative now, with whole scale, wholesale, wide scale reform to our education system…this needs root and branch change in our education system so that this never happens again.
We are genuinely being asked to believe that if these two terrorist dickheads were better informed of the horrors of the Holocaust, they would, what, never have fallen for Daesh’s fundamentalist fantasy of an extremist Caliphate that will magically manifest through haphazard outbursts of violence? Or that they would have been totally okay with Israel’s systematic, industrialised mass slaughter of Palestinians - if, indeed, that is what motivated them, which we still don’t know. As I mentioned in my last piece, the evidence gathered by police of both ISIS-materials and references to “Zionist acts” is inherently contradictory given ISIS is ideologically opposed to both Hamas and Palestinian statehood - Australian recognition of which, you’ll recall, is what Netanyahu blames for the mass shooting.
Or is the message that this “whole scale, wholesale, wide scale reform to our education system… this root and branch change” is needed to prevent the protests for Palestinian human rights? It’s worth noting that this phrase, “root and branch” change, was also used by NSW Labor Premier Chris Minns in reference to arming CSG, the Zionist militia. It’s almost like they are reading from the script. While there is undoubted synergy and coordination in some of the messaging, ultimately, the core narrative remains confused - in large part because Zionists are doing their very best to use this shooting as a springboard to shutdown the entirely unrelated protests against Israel’s genocide and ethnic cleansing, which are funded, defended, and participated in by Zionists worldwide. The fact that they’re unrelated is why the messaging is garbled, and the measures to ensure a terrorist attack does not happen again appear to do nothing whatsoever to ensure a terrorist attack does not happen again - because they’re not meant to do that frankly impossible thing.
What they’re actually meant to do is ensure the unrelated protests don’t happen again, which is a far and away more achievable goal. What evidence is there that our education system needs to be totally overhauled with regards to the Holocaust? What evidence is there that antisemitism and education about the Holocaust are related? You could point out - as so many have done - that literal Jewish Israeli Holocaust scholars have called Israel’s actions a clear genocide, you could point out that numerous Holocaust survivors not only have opposed the State of Israel over the decades but even opposed Zionists during the Holocaust, or that Israel itself has a long track record of despising them for an imagined weakness, and/or failing to care for Holocaust survivors, and it simply does not matter. Reality is not important here.
It’s worth reiterating at this point that to Zionists, criticism of Israel is antisemitic, and that the Albanese government has officially adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism which affirms this nonsensical framing. Coupled with explicitly limiting young people’s access to unsanctioned information, this looks like nothing more than a coordinated attempt to condition the next generation into greater obedience and subservience to the Zionist status quo. What kind of Holocaust education will be allowed, for example? It’s an entirely baseless assumption that Holocaust education will lead to less anti-Israel sentiment, or indeed less anti-Zionism. When Frydenberg called for this, do you think he imagined Australian students learning about Zionist Hungarian Dr Rudolf Katsner, whose collaboration with the Nazis was integral to the murder of 800,000 Hungarian Jews in Auschwitz? Katsner knew, without a doubt, about the death camps, and lied repeatedly to Hungarian Jews about the nature of the camps so they would line up willingly to go to their slaughter.
“While I was prisoner number 44070 at Auschwitz – the number is still on my arm – I compiled careful statistics of the exterminations … I took these terrible statistics with me when I escaped in 1944 and I was able to give Hungarian Zionist leaders three weeks notice that Eichmann planned to send a million of their Jews to his gas chambers. … Kastner went to Eichmann and told him, ‘I know of your plans; spare some Jews of my choice and I shall keep quiet.’ Eichmann not only agreed, but dressed Kastner up in S.S. uniform and took him to Belsen to trace some of his friends. Nor did the sordid bargaining end there.” - Dr. Rudolf Vrba, Daily Herald, February 1961, (cited in Ben Hecht, Perfidy, 1962, p. 231)
Zionism did not become revoltingly racist, supremacist, and eugenicist recently - it has been so from its inception in the late 1880s. As Jewish historian Zachary Foster notes in extensive detail:
Indeed, as time passed, the rejection rate of German Jews applying to immigrate to Palestine increased. Only about a quarter of the 204,076 Jewish immigrants to enter Palestine during this period arrived from Germany or Austria… throughout the 1930s, Zionist leaders were focused on statehood, not rescue. Arthur Ruppin said immigration “should not flood the existing settlement in Palestine like lava.” Moshe Shertok argued that Jews outside of Palestine needed to be treated “with a certain degree of cruelty.”
What about the fact that a quarter of Holocaust survivors in Israel lived in poverty until their deaths? In 2017, then Israeli Welfare Minister Haim Katz, revealed over 20,000 Holocaust survivors never received the government assistance they were owed. “If you counted the ones who’ve died and never received aid, it would be much more,” he said, noting that 45 survivors die in Israel every day. “The bureaucracy is so bad that people die before they receive help,” he said.
In a testament to how invisible survivors are in Israeli society, and how apathetic the public is to their plight, Katz’s report made absolutely no waves in the Israeli media. It should be news that Holocaust survivors are being left to die in poverty, all while their legacy is used as a justification for the existence of the nation that has so badly neglected them. - Yardena Schwartz, Tablet magazine
The Royal Commission, Our Captured Media
I got a little bit off-track there, because I’m a nerd. Let’s return to the aftermath of Bondi’s shooting, media narratives, and suggested policies. A brief summary: there was a shooting of a Hanukkah event run and attended by prominent Zionists, and while this shooting was not connected to protests it has been relentlessly linked to it by reckless politicians, Zionists, and media figures; as a result, new laws have been rushed into place granting the police minister the power to ban protests for up to 3-month-periods, whenever a ‘terrorism’ designation has been made by authorities (which as we know from experience can range from a shooting to attempted arson); PM Anthony Albanese invited the war criminal Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, to visit Australia and made an official declaration of his government’s adoption of Special Envoy Jillian Segal’s widely panned report into antisemitism and its many absurd recommendations, which includes society-wide implementation of the IHRA definition of antisemitism. The government’s own document indicates that it sees the social media ban for teenagers as part of its response to antisemitism, which is deeply concerning, particularly in light of the fact that Segal will lead an education taskforce reviewing curriculum from kindergarten (that infamously Jew-hating stage of life) through to university, using the fantastic claim that more Holocaust education will magically prevent further shootings.
That leads us at last to the one remaining demand from Zionists I haven’t addressed yet, and which has been blasted throughout our national media: the call for a Commonwealth Royal Commission into antisemitism. Now, a Royal Commission is a very fancy and detailed investigation with wide-ranging powers that is typically instigated to respond to a matter of national concern. It is always treated as a Very Big Deal, despite the fact that whatever recommendations the Commission makes in relation to the matter can and frequently are ignored, or poorly implemented, if at all. Now, Chris Minns has already declared that NSW will have a state-level royal commission, which Albanese has commended and indicated the federal government will cooperate with - at the same time, he has ordered a review at the federal level, called the Richardson Review, which he argues is better because it won’t take years like a RC, and can deliver an urgent report by April. If the media frenzy is any indication, this is not enough. See below examples:
ABC, SMH, 9News, The Guardian, News.com.au:

The Financial Review evidently has no other thoughts or demands beyond this:
We can’t leave out Israel’s own “The Australian”, naturally:
And of course, the rags:
Just today, we have a new addition to the clarion call of “business leaders”, Catholic bishops, the conservative opposition party, and pretty much every outlet in mainstream media: a random assortment of sports people:
Astonishingly, Anthony Albanese - who has never come across a fight he wouldn’t run from - has thus far resisted this weirdly uniform and insistent call to instigate a Royal Commission. There is rampant speculation as to why, including that funny thing, the actual law, although, strangely enough, Albanese himself has not used this himself yet:
Personally, I think the last thing this government wants is a thorough examination of the many "antisemitic" acts that were hyped in the media, two of which were blamed on Iran without any credible public evidence, and many more on unknown criminals that paid desperate people to do petty crimes. The only thing working for Zionists right now is our spectacularly sloppy and cowardly media machine that breathlessly rushes to cover graffiti as if it were morally equivalent to the murder and starvation of tens of thousands of children, and which steams ahead powered by its own bullshit spin. An actual investigation into antisemitism will not be allowed, not because Albanese is secretly a Palestinian agent - as the Murdoch media is hilariously trying to spin it - but because there are too many oddities, loose ends, and unknowns that could do significant damage to the Zionist narrative. As I said earlier, I’m entirely cynical of his motivations and I assume the worst of him, based off his wretched record.
The most likely outcome is that he will wait until the last moment and then announce a royal commission with a limited focus on the shooting itself and not antisemitism itself, which is the aim of Zionists. They’re not even remotely interested in findings of antisemitism—what they want is a years-long slog wherein the media can use the ongoing investigation to make antisemitism the defining matter, instead of the sadistic apartheid state carrying out a genocide that is enacted and cheerled by Jewish supremacist Zionists. In the above screenshots you can see a microcosm of what they want for the next few years. What I want to linger on here, though, is not so much whether it will happen or how or why, but the instructive spectacle of a mass media apparatus working in unity with conservative politicians. The sheer range and volume of content spat out across every outlet is staggering.
If you’ve wondered what it would look like for the majority of mainstream media to align comprehensively to make one thing the defining issue over all others, no matter how entwined it is with others, wonder no more, because this is what it looks like, and you will see it demonstrated in precisely zero other circumstances. Imagine for a moment if our media had actually covered Israel’s atrocities with this uniformity? How different the past two years might have been. Instead, there’s been nonstop lies, gaslighting, suppression, and punishment for anyone who tried to report accurately. These screenshots indicate yet again just how much effort, how much resources, have been put into denying the genocide, denying the atrocities, dismissing or distorting what’s happening, and so on, and the profound role the media willingly played in it.
Israel’s Top 10 Hit List of Australians
This is thoroughly depressing, to be honest with you. Any serious consideration of the past two years in the West, in particular, is distressingly bleak. Among many other things what it reveals is the lengths the status quo will go to maintain its dominance, and that anytime there is the remotest suggestion of the narrative not working in its favour, they cheat. Mainstream media did its usual job of not reporting the history, of repeating Zionist hasbara as though it were gospel, of privileging Zionist feelings above and beyond any other, of pretending anti-Zionist Jews don’t exist, of siloing Palestinian voices, of showing the barest sliver of the atrocities committed, and when that wasn’t working, when the truth was still rampant on social media due in large part to the depraved uploads of Israelis themselves, and when they couldn’t get that to stop happening, they forced a buyout of TikTok so it could join the other Nazi-run apps in adjusting the algorithm to marginalise Palestinian accounts; Zionist billionaire Larry Ellison didn’t just buy TikTok, he bought CBS and installed Bari Weiss, one of the most hysterical Zionist propagandists, as editor in chief. Slogans are being banned, protests are being banned, civil disobedience is being labelled terrorism as in the case of Palestine Action, teenagers are being banned from social media, and Zionists put in charge of overhauling our education, arts, culture, and news media to put an end to all this pesky anti-genocide and anti-apartheid talk.
In the midst of all this, I became aware of a report on the Israeli government website that lists me alongside 9 others as its top ten “key generators of antisemitism and delegitimisation in Australia” alongside my Jewish brother, Antony Lowenstein, as well as Arab brothers like Nasser Mashni and Hash Tayeh.
Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism then has individual profiles for each of us, which are almost certainly AI-generated. I say this because the last point here is almost entirely made up. My poems were not removed from the Poetry Foundation - in fact, in 2023, my poems received Poetry Magazine’s Bess Hokin Prize, which comes with $1,000 and is considered a prestigious award. That I received this award is why I spoke out. I, alongside Palestinian poets Noor K Hindi, George Abraham, Summer Farah and Tariq Luthun, instituted a call to boycott the magazine when it pulled a review-essay by one anti-Zionist Jewish writer of a book by another anti-Zionist Jewish poet that had been scheduled for publication. The editor cited that the magazine didn’t want to appear to be “taking a side”.
So let’s look at the examples cited here: 1) The Greens election policy proposal to establish a War Crimes Investigation Unit, which I had nothing to do with making but wholeheartedly support, 2) A tweet in which I say that the boycott of Israel only ends “when Palestine is free; when reparations are paid and war criminals are prosecuted and equality for all is the norm. The road is long but we will travel it, inshallah” and 3) the call to boycott Poetry Magazine for censoring an anti-Zionist Jewish writer and clearly taking a side by not “taking a side”. I know, I know. Clearly, I’m a monster. Who knew my poetry and incisive analysis had such power that it could threaten to delegitimise a nuclear-armed state backed by the world’s biggest military? I entirely reject this characterisation, for the record, as it implies that Israel has any legitimacy to begin with and this apartheid state has none to speak of, it is a perverse colonial enterprise that from the outset sought to ethnically cleanse millions of indigenous Palestinians and Arabs across the Levant to realise the Jewish supremacist ideal of “Greater Israel”.
So far no Australian politician has responded to this defamatory list of Australian citizens by a foreign government and supposed “ally”, and I’m not holding my breath. For one, Albanese’s government has accepted the IHRA definition of antisemitism which means that, in theory, any criticism of Israel can be deemed antisemitic, which is the same position those war criminals hold. I do have to ask, because I’m sure no one in our captured and complicit media will: given the conflation of anti-zionism with antisemitism, and given there is a push to arm them on our streets, how should we feel about these genocidal racists making lists of us to target here? How much more likely does it make that I will receive threatening comments like this one?
Someone pointed me to the National Security Hotline on the basis of this list, and I thought what the hell, it does appear to fit the criteria on their website so I sent an email outlining the situation. I wrote:
“In addition to this being a wildly defamatory and inaccurate characterisation, I wanted to ask if, in your view, this counts as intimidation, harassment or incitement to harass? On your website, under “foreign interference” you list as a cause for concern and notification, any instance of community members being intimidated or harassed by someone linked to a foreign government. Given the deservedly terrifying reputation that Mossad has, for example, and given the serious violence of Zionists both in occupied Palestine and abroad, I find this more than a little disturbing, to say the very least. I would really welcome and appreciate advice about this matter.”
I received a form email in reply saying that the hotline’s email is not being attended to and will be decommissioned in a matter of weeks. I simply had to laugh. Relatedly, in the news today is an offer from Amichai Chikli, the Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs - yes, the same ministry that has this hit list of Australians on it, with utterly rubbish claims made about us - to train Australian police in counter-terrorism and how to combat antisemitism. One wonders if they would be trained in the same paramilitary camps the CSG sends its members to? Hell, since they’re going to be their own special police force, why not just let Mossad run the whole shop yeah? First up will be the classic IDF hits, How to Massacre Civilians 101, followed by Which Bloodied Dress of Your Victim to Wear and Why.
I’m not sure why I’m even bothering to write any of this out. It does not benefit me in the slightest, it merely adds to the longstanding punitive campaign to smear me, to call me a terrorist, to ensure that I, like so many others, am not able to carry out my work as when a Zionist complained to the State Library of Victoria about my poetry workshop and got every workshop cancelled as a result. The smart thing to do would be to shut up. My family needs me to shut up, get a job, and go about my life. I’m just not capable of doing it. Everything is worsening at speed and I see it as my duty to call out these injustices and do my utmost to create a better world for my kids, not to leave them in a fascist hellscape. Besides which, to have been included in this list indicates I must be doing something right, and if all I manage to do is to annoy genocidal mass murderers, then so be it.
See you in the re-education camps, brought to you by our Dear Leaders in Israel.
Salaam,
Omar

Thank you, considered and passionate and real response, as usual. Appreciate your work very much.
I also had to laugh at that form reply. That's so grabage, holy shit.
Thank you, as always, for the clear, well argued article on all this shit.
